Where It All Began: The HUNYULE Cream That Inspired Verdant Equus
The first story I want to share about why I began creating creams under Verdant Equus starts with the HUNYULE Ultra Soothing Cream.
I originally made it for my baby, who suffered from infant eczema. My son’s skin was highly sensitive to chemical preservatives, and his eczema worsened whenever such products were applied. Finding a cream without preservatives was nearly impossible—so I decided to make one myself.
When the cream worked beautifully, I shared it with friends. One evening, a friend quietly told me about her husband’s skin condition during dinner. He was a doctor but had eczema around his neck that flared up with stress. Steroid creams helped temporarily, but the eczema always came back, and eventually fungal infections developed on his weakened skin. He asked me to create a natural cream for long-term use.

I didn’t hesitate. I knew grapefruit seed extract and tea tree oil were excellent for killing fungi and bacteria, and I increased the concentration of Vitamin B5 to boost skin regeneration. That became the prototype of HUNYULE Ultra Soothing Cream.
After just three days of use, his itching and infection disappeared. The cream was so effective that he hid it deep in a shelf—away from his children. His daughter later joked that she thought her dad was hiding honey there.
A natural cream that could both fight microbes and heal and soothe, effectively the skin was rare. Two years later, that same formula evolved once again—this time into Verdant Equus Jazzy’s Cream.
